Steel Enclosures
B&R Enclosures uses steel materials designed to maximise the longevity of the enclosure. The careful selection of materials and finish has given us some of the longest lasting products available in the market, despite the arduous nature of the application.
Zinc coated steel is used in our standard range of B&R branded products. This is a matte, hot dipped, zinc iron alloy which we believe when combined with our chemical pretreatment and powdercoat finish offers the best possible corrosion protection for our enclosures.
This material is also used in products such as automotive panels, washing machines and commercial fridges and freezers.
This material is then powdercoated in accordance with our specification.
In our tests, this combination of zinc coated steel and powdercoat, significantly outperformed other materials in scratch tests. Other materials tended to have problems with the corrosion getting underneath the paint and eventually lifting it off. We did not see evidence of this with B&R’s materials in a scratch and salt spray test.

Ausrack TxD
A rack with 4 corner posts often used for Transmission & Data Applications in telecommunications exchange & data centre environments. For 19, 21, 23 or 26 inch equipment.
Connector TE – Zinc Coated Steel
The Connector TE is a steel termination enclosure with a screw on lid ideal for applications where a smaller enclosure is required for installing terminations or push buttons.
CT Metering
Small main boards & CT chassis systems manufactured from 1.6mm zinc coated steel or 316 stainless steel made suitable for mounting of various transformers.
DIN Rail Enclosures
A range of metal surface and flush mounted DIN rail loadcentres for residential commercial applications.
Forte FR – Steel
An IP65, steel enclosure suitable for a variety of indoor, general electrical applications. It is made from powdercoat painted steel and is available off the shelf.

Hinged Switchboard Frames
A series of Hinged Switchboard Frames, manufactured from galvanised steel, suitable for general purpose metering in internal and switchroom applications.
Home Networking
A range suitable for both fibre and copper lines, and surface or flush mounted, these enclosures are supplied complete with a double GPO and 8 port RJ45 Cat5 patch unit.
Home Networking – External
Fibre to The Home (FTTH) connectivity, this IP55 home networking enclosure is suitable for external (outside) installations and can be mounted to any 485mm wide Horizon enclosure.
