Ampcontrol RES asked JA Martin Electrical to design and construct a 1000V Power Distribution Switchboard for North Parkes Gold Mine in central west NSW. The switchboard was required to power drilling machines and loading equipment.
The specification required the switchboard to be:
- Type Tested to AS 3439.1
- Skid mountable
- Designed for an Insulation Voltage of 1000V
- Easily extendible for future expansion
- A modular design for versatility
- Australian made
A Martin Electrical use B&R Signature SE switchboards extensively and realised that this modular, type tested switchboard building system complied with all of the North Parkes Gold Mine specifications.
JA Martin Electrical and Ampcontrol RES completed the project on time and on budget, to the complete satisfaction of the North Parkes Gold Mine management team. The Signature SE modular switchboard system will be considered favourably for future expansion at the site.
